SUMMARY:Winchester Farmers Markets
DESCRIPTION:Our 2024 season will start Saturday\, June 8th and ends Saturday\, October 26th. We are open every Saturday (rain or shine) 9:30am-1:30PM at the Winchester Common. \nThe farmers market will take place at the Winchester Town Common on Church Street. Please try to ride your bike or walk to the market if you can\, or park your car in the Aberjona or Shore Road or on Skillings Road or Winchester High School for short-term parking near downtown businesses. The Aberjona lot\, which runs along the commuter rail track across from the post office\, is free on weekends\, including the permit spaces in the end of the lot.\nEach week a different organization is provided the opportunity to showcase their programs and resources. These organizations have included \nBrio Integrated Theatre\nEnKa Society\nJenks Center\nMystic River Watershed Association\nRotary Club of Winchester\nWinchester Artists Network\nWinchester Cultural Council\nWinchester Historical Society\nWinchester Community Music School\nWinchester League of Women Voters\nWinchester Multicultural Network\nand other non-profit groups.\nIn the past\, many community groups have partnered with the WFMCHub to present special events at the market such as Ability Awareness Day\, Community Organizations Day\, International Day\, Environmental and Health Fairs\, and Art in the Park. \nOffsite events have included garden and farm tours\, a winter lecture series\, and a Climate Change Adaptation Panel.\nThe Winchester Farmers Market Community Hub has become a highly respected community institution that has promoted aspects of sustainable communities while enhancing the quality of life in Winchester.
